Graphite meets Brass

Designed for a newly constructed open plan layout, we created a bespoke, linear kitchen with central island, built-in reeded shelving feature and custom TV cabinetry for a wraparound effect, achieving both harmony and definition between the three zones of the space – kitchen, dining and lounge area. Emmet Duggan Architects specified the bespoke shelving feature connected to the island, which creates a natural screen between the kitchen and living/dining zones and adds another layer of detail to the spacious open plan configuration. Texture has been introduced through the rich graphite colour scheme, with graphite ash on the island, a brass channel handle system for a handleless visual and surfaces in Dekton Kelya and Rem. An antique mirror splashback references the warmth of the brass channel feature, while a vertical slatted finish on the bookcase introduces further texture to the cabinetry and waterfall island. The scheme has been completed with a suite of Siemens appliances, Quooker tap and a striking brass sink.
